There have been several comparisons of LeadPages vs ClickFunnels, but most are outdated. We’ve pit the two landing page generators against eachother with updated information for 2015!

In the red corner, the incumbent champion of landing page creators, the name everyone knows and turns to in times of need, is LeadPages. In the blue corner, freshly made last year by Russell Brunson, a challenger to the title of best landing page creator, is ClickFunnels. Where do these two combatants stack up against each other, and which is the better choice for you? Let’s find out!

The Price

I know that for many small businesses, a difference in price can be the deciding factor between two pieces of similar software. Unless one of these two suites has some feature you really, really want, price can decide the whole game. So, I’m going to lead with it. Bear in mind, of course, you might be able to get a deal on either one, either by going through an affiliate or waiting for a sale.

Leadpages Pricing

First up, LeadPages. They list three different packages, a Standard, a Pro and an Enterprise. They also have three billing options; monthly, annually, or two-year contracts. Annual is typically the sweet spot for most businesses, so I’m going to start there.

LeadPages standard offers unlimited landing pages and domains, access to all templates, WordPress integration, and html exporting options, for $25 per month. The pro version adds in split testing options, affiliate program access, custom template uploads and priority email support, all for $40 per month. The enterprise edition adds in live chat, integration with Salesforce and HubSpot, a template import feature and some more proprietary features, for $67 per month.

Clickfunnels Pricing

ClickFunnels has a similar set of three plans; personal, startup, and enterprise. They only list monthly prices, however, and don’t have additional options for annual or bi-annual billing.

The personal version allows you to create five funnels of up to 20 total pages, limits you to 5,000 visitors per month, and only one custom domain. On the other hand, it offers split testing at the most basic level, as well as email and opt-in functions. All of this for $37 monthly.

The startup version adds in several advanced funnel features, including membership funnels, webinars, hangouts, upsells, and more. It also increases the limited numbers to 20 funnels, 100 pages, 20,000 visitors and 3 custom domains. This package is $97 annually.

The third version, enterprise, ups the numbers to 70 funnels, 300 pages, 100,000 visitors, and 20 domains. They also include priority support with this version. The kicker is, it’s $297 per month.

By price alone, the winner is LeadPages. Many small businesses just can’t afford $100 a month for something the can get for half that price elsewhere.

Templates

Clickfunnels Templates

Both services offer a wide range of templates for landing pages, opt-ins and squeeze pages. They’re all very different and widely varied within each service. There’s honestly no way to offer a direct comparison; the templates I like might not fit your business, and the templates you like won’t work for me. Besides, they’re all customizable, so I would call this section a draw.

The primary drawback to LeadPages, and the only reason I might consider making ClickFunnels the winner here, is that it’s so popular. This means the most popular LeadPages templates tend to be used widely around the web. Once a template reaches saturation, it’s no longer a good choice. On the other hand, customization allows you to make your site look different, so this might not affect you personally.

Affiliates

It should come as no surprise that both of these sites offer affiliate programs. For ClickFunnels, you can be an affiliate without being a user, and you get 35% of the lifetime purchases made by the people you refer. LeadPages, by contrast, only allows you to be an affiliate if you’re also a Pro member, and they only give you 30%.

All around, I give this one to ClickFunnels. Their payouts are higher in percentage, and their software is more expensive so you get more out of each sale. On top of that, you don’t need to be a paying member like you do with LeadPages.

Integrations

Integrations

LeadPages offers a limited selection of third party integrations, primarily with webinar marketing suites and email management programs, like aWeber and MailChimp. Salesforce integration exists, but only at the enterprise payment level.

By contrast, ClickFunnels offers all of that and a heck of a lot more. The primary benefit in my mind is the integration of a host of payment options, including Infusionsoft, Stripe and ClickBank.

I give the edge here to ClickFunnels, but only by a hair. It all depends on what software you use and which you need to integrate with in order to get the most out of your suite.

Other Features

ClickFunnels and LeadPages both have their own sets of unique features. For advanced marketers, these are likely what are going to make or break a deal for you.

First of all, ClickFunnels isn’t just a landing page builder; it’s a sales funnel builder. This means it has additional features to help build a funnel beyond the landing page, including email messaging, click tracking and funnel sharing.

I also consider this a feature, though some won’t; LeadPages is incredibly easy to use. It takes seconds to put together a landing page. ClickFunnels isn’t exactly difficult, but it’s a little more obtuse and not quite as intuitive.

Both suites have great support, but ClickFunnels has arguably better support simply due to how new it is. They’re always looking for feedback and always available to answer questions. You may not get priority phone support unless you have a high tier of service, but it’s still good enough for most purposes.

Bear in mind that both sets of software are constantly expanding. LeadPages has filed a bunch of trademarks for advanced features that will probably roll out throughout the year. It’s worth watching to see if these are worthwhile, or just added fluff you don’t need.

Which program do you prefer? Is the robust, total management of ClickFunnels better for you, or do you prefer the cheaper, easier to use and generally more popular LeadPages? Let me know in the comments.

Click funnels advertises an all inclusive package but when you sign up. After signing up you have to open another account with an outside smtp service provide that costs you even more money. Looks good from the marketing videos but very technical to setup. Becomes very pricey when you add on all the extra’s.
